The Bubble Effect

Hi there!

These are the character illustrations and pieces of background art I designed for an animated campaign I created for NDCS. This is a leading deaf children's charity that helps children with this disability around the world. Hopefully what I have created will help raise awareness of the effects that being deaf can have on a child growing up. The animation should be featured on their site soon-ish, when it has been I will post a link here :)

Go on gran...I mean Dot!

This is a walk cycle I did for the elder character within my series concept. She does not like being called Gran since it makes her feel old so Dot is preferred.
She still has life in her yet!

Its about time!

I don't know where to start really....I should probably start with the fact I have not managed to upload ANYTHING lately due to Uni work taking up every possible hour of my day, so yeah that's where I am going start.... by uploading the work I have done for my units so far. Quite a few pieces of my work were for clients so I couldn't share that stuff until now. But first I am going to start with the work that I managed to finish for my deadline today!

These are a few designs for a concept I came up with for a show called 'Off the Map' about a slightly out there family who defiantly like to get out and about exploring and getting themselves in some unusual adventures... well except from the dad who would prefer to stay in his study and examine the outside world through books. 

Rough Sketches

Hi. These are a few rough character designs that I came up with. I decided to do these since I was told once I should focus more on the life and shading of my characters and remove the colour and secondly since I was inspired by a technique that Nikolas Ilic uses which I found out is from a site names Cup O' Doddle. I usually draw a squiggle, and then from that form a character, since I like to allow people to see where the illustration stemmed from.

Back to College

Hi, This is a little something I created when I went back to my old graphic design course at college to teach. The students had to design a poster for the Olympics which wasn't the typical style, so whilst helping them I thought I might as well make my own and this is what I came up with. Its nice to upload a piece of graphics besides just illustrations for a change since this is where my interest in animation started.

Hi again, this is a piece of concept art for my two previous characters that I designed. I usually have quite a simplistic background that accompanies my character designs but I decided with these two that I wanted to expand on that and illustrate an entire scene.
